Discover Splendor

I am going to be going out of town in a few days to visit some family and it got me thinking about all of the places I have been this year. With each trip I have tried to find/buy a little something for our home that brings back the memory of that trip.

These pieces can be something as simple as a coffee mug or more elaborate like a price of art from a local artist.

When arranged in your home these things are great conversation starters and constant reminders of wonderful memories you have made.

Does anyone else do this?? Here are a couple of my recent finds.

Can’t believe Thanksgiving is so close! This year will be my first year hosting a holiday and I want to get it just perfect! I never realized all that goes into planning for a holiday. Not only is getting my house in tip-top shape a high priority but I also want to make the most delicious menu possible.

Usually I try and fix recipes so they are a little bit healthier but I think this year for turkey dinner I am going to go full flavor!

Do any of you have any recipe ideas?? What are huge hits with your family at the dinner table?

I love these Le Creuset cast iron pans. This is my favorite color, you really could go from the stove to the table. These really are THAT pretty.

I think I’m going to add these to my wishlist:)

I hate to admit this but I’m not totally hating the fact that Christmas decorations are already out. I found this great felt ball wreath from West Elm and I’m determined to try and make it. Since I’m pretty sure it’s going to take me the whole seven weeks we have until Christmas to make it I’m glad I found it now.
